The Master of Arts in Financial Management and Accounting course focuses on the following points:
1. General management
The modules of general management teach the basics of corporate management and prepare the students for managerial tasks, especially international assignments.
2. In-depth financial management and accounting
Here the main aspects of modern financial management and accounting are analysed on both a theoretical and a practice-oriented basis. The programme also includes project work, in which a concrete example is used to combine practice and theory.
3. Electives
The electives offer a wide range of opportunities for consolidation and specialisation. Here you will find special topics from the IT sector as well as seminars on current management topics.
4. Studium generale
More than 100 seminar subjects (including lessons on soft skills), five languages and excursions round off the opportunities that a student has for determining individual areas of focus. The management forum is a particular highlight – an attractive opportunity to discuss with top managers of well-known companies current topics taken from the world of business.
5. Master’s thesis
The Master’s thesis, which students write while working full-time, concludes the course of studies (time allowed: six months). The subject can deal with a task arising from one of NORDAKADEMIE’s research projects or with a business problem taken directly from the student’s professional environment. The student then has to work on a solution to this problem using methods he / she has learnt.
