University regulations state that students are obliged to take a minimum of twelve hours per semester for seminars or language courses (with the exception of English as a compulsory subject and French/Spanish for Business Science and Management and Industrial Engineering and Business Management) in order to qualify for a Bachelor’s degree. The number of lessons per week is calculated by dividing the total number of lessons in the semester or language course by 10.
A certificate is awarded by the university for successful participation in seminars or language courses (French, Spanish, if applicable Russian or Japanese). This is a valuable document when you subsequently apply for a job.
