2005 rankings by ZEIT and CHE ![]() The weekly newspaper “Die ZEIT” and the Centre for Studies in Higher Education (CHE - Centrum für Hochschulentwicklung) produced a ranking on the basis of a survey involving 35 subjects at a total of 280 universities and colleges. Data for the survey was gathered by means of questioning more than 210,000 students and 21,000 professors at the 132 universities and 148 colleges taking part in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. NORDAKADEMIE, the private university funded by industry, took part in the recent survey with all three courses (Business Science and Management, Computer Science and Business Management and Industrial Engineering and Business Management). Of all the universities involved in the survey, NORDAKADEMIE was given the best ratings for Germany by the students questioned, not only in the “Students’ overall evaluation”, but also in the other categories evaluated, using a school grading system, such as “Organisation of courses”, “Equipment” or “Student care”. NORDAKADEMIE was given the following ratings by the students in the overall evaluation:
Particularly encouraging for the university is the fact that NORDAKADEMIE also occupies the top position in the categories “Relevance to practical needs” and “Relevance to the labour market”. This demonstrates that the dual-mode courses developed in collaboration with industry provide the students with the best possible preparation for their subsequent careers since they are given practical training in one of the more than 400 partner companies parallel to their academic studies. You can find details on NORDAKADEMIE’s results in an overview; moreover, you will find a complete run-down of the results with further information on the homepage of the rankings. Finally, the equally encouraging rankings from 2002 are now available. |
