The NORDAKADEMIE provides some 100 computers in 6 labs. The head of the computer network is Prof. Dr. Ing. Johannes Brauer. The administrators, Helmut Guttenberg and Karsten Kortenhorn, support the network with 150 workstations and 25 servers.

The operating systems are Linux, Netware, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000. The workstations in the different buildings are connected with each other by 100-Base-T-cables and the connection to the main server is enabled by fibre optic cables.

The computer labs are air conditioned. All students receive a personal account and e-mail address for using all network services and software, for storing their documents and data files with the server. Free internet access is avaiable at all times. Roaming profiles allow the students to use their own Windows profile at every workstation.

The NORDAKADEMIE has a multimedia centre where it is possible to digitalize and edit audio files and videos.

Opening hours of the computer labs: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 06:00pm or 24-hour access by using transponders. (Transponders can be obtained from the administrators).
