Prof. Dr. Michael Dickmann
At NORDAKADEMIE he teaches Human Resource Management for the MBA programme.
Michael lectures in the areas of international and strategic HRM. After being the Global Head of Human Resources in a multinational corporation based in Munich, Germany he joined Cranfield to lead its work in the areas of national cultures, global mobility and IHRM. His research focuses on human resource strategies, structures and processes of multinational organisations, cross-cultural management, international mobility and global careers. He is the director of the Cranfield MSc in Management, a highly innovative, practice-centred business Masters that was ranked best in Britain in 2017 and 2018 by The Economist magazine.
Dr. Michael Dickmann, BSc, MSc, PhD, AFCIPD is Professor of International Human Resource Management at Cranfield University, School of Management, UK, Director of Cranfield Masters in Management, and Editor of "The International Journal of Human Resource Management".
In 2019 he launched the Cranfield Masters in Management and Leadership, the first course that satisfies the UK Senior Leaders Standard aimed at early career professionals. Michael has published in journals such as Human Resource Management, Journal of World Business, Journal of Organizational Behavior, International Journal of Human Resource Management, Organizational Dynamics, Human Resource Management Journal, Thunderbird International Review, Personnel Review or British Journal of Management. He is the lead author of several books on international HRM and global careers. His latest book is The Management of Global Careers (Palgrave, 2018). Michael has several years of work experience with major consultancies and in industry. He has conducted a variety of consulting and research assignments with cutting edge multinational organisations.
