Motivate people, move companies
Part-time study program of HR Management & Business Psychology (M.Sc.)
The Perfect Combination
HR Management and Business Psychology:
A company's success depends on its employees. If you understand what drives people, you hold the key to a productive and healthy corporate culture. This is exactly where HR management and psychology merge. This article highlights how both disciplines work together and the huge value this knowledge offers for your career. You will discover the core areas and learn how modern technologies transform the HR world.
Two Sides of the Same Coin
HR management and psychology complement each other perfectly. Classic human resource management focuses heavily on business processes and extrinsic motivators, like salary structures and targets. Psychology provides the crucial counterpart. It looks at intrinsic motivators and explores what drives people deep down on both an individual and organizational level.
Studying these fields gives you the chance to explore both disciplines in depth. You learn the theory, but you also apply this knowledge directly to real business situations.
Important Core Topics for the Workplace of Tomorrow
Modern companies face big challenges. A solid understanding of the human mind and clear management strategies help to overcome these hurdles. Central topics include:
Change Management: Companies must constantly change. You learn to guide change processes professionally and reduce employee resistance.
Diversity and Inclusion: Diverse and inclusive teams work more innovatively. A core HR task is to create a space where everyone feels valued.
New Work: Flexible work models and a new leadership culture shape the job market. You develop concepts that meet these demands.
On top of that, topics like cross-cultural leadership, employee mental health, and HR sustainability play a vital role in the fight against the current skilled labor shortage.
The Impact of Digitalization in HR
Widespread digitalization is changing HR from the ground up. Professionals who combine tech trends with psychological insight are in high demand.
Data-driven decisions take center stage. With People Analytics, you analyze metrics to improve company processes and support talent better. At the same time, Artificial Intelligence takes on increasingly important tasks in recruiting and personnel management.
Training is transforming, too. E-learning platforms allow employees to learn flexibly and efficiently. Additionally, Human-Machine Interaction is becoming massively important. Companies must understand how people and new technologies interact best at work, without causing stress or frustration. Solid knowledge of labor law rounds out this modern skill set.
Theory Meets Practice: Your Career Opportunities
Combining HR management and psychology creates real value for your career. You grow into a strategic expert who achieves business goals without losing sight of the people. This dual understanding makes you an essential partner for management and a trusted figure for the staff.

HR Management & Business Psychology (M.Sc.)
Study information
Your part-time Master's program at NORDAKADEMIE Campus Hamburg includes practice-relevant content that was co-developed with the business community and includes a three-month, interdisciplinary practical project.
You will experience HR management and business psychology as two sides of the same coin: one deals with the business and extrinsic motivational aspects, the other with the intrinsic motivational factors that drive people on an individual and organizational level.
You'll explore both disciplines in depth, apply what you've learned to real-world situations - and add real value to your future career.
At the beginning, you will acquire basic knowledge in the areas of Scientific Work and Ethics and Sustainable Business Management.

Another benefit: You can attend an international study trip to India, South Africa or China.
It takes 5 months to complete the master's thesis.
Your Master's degree program is blended learning with classroom sessions and self-study phases. The NORDAKADEMIE provides you with all learning materials online and offline and also supervises you personally.
Four to six weeks before your first lecture, you will receive access to the first study materials. At the beginning of your studies, you will also receive your student ID card.
Consistent study groups enable you to have an intensive exchange and excellent cooperation. In the Master's project, you will also work together in interdisciplinary teams. All modules follow one another in time with subsequent examinations. This means that you only have to prepare for one exam at a time.
Our recommendation: When comparing the tuition fees of private universities, you should always look out for "hidden" costs, e.g. for enrollment, exams or study time extensions. If providers do not disclose these fees or only inform you about them after you have been entered in a list of prospective students, you will often be charged above-average fees.
The world is facing a decade of unprecedented transformation. Challenges such as decarbonization, the digital revolution, demographic change and the associated lack of skilled workers require outstanding HR specialists who can move confidently in diverse fields of action.
As a graduate of the Master's program HR Management & Business Psychology, you will be able to do so - and also have the latest knowledge in all relevant areas of digital transformation. You can begin with a term paper even before the start of the actual Master's program.

After receipt of payment, you will receive your access data and can register the term paper via the internal campus information system. For information on additional fees, please refer to the current fee schedule. It is due upon confirmation of the topic.
Further education modules
After admission to the Master's program or after payment of the first tuition fee, you can also take continuing education modules.
