Study information
The Master’s degree programme in Business Informatics (M.Sc.) at NORDAKADEMIE Campus Hamburg combines technical expertise with a profound understanding of business processes, thereby fostering the development of modern digital innovation strategies.
As part of the programme, students acquire comprehensive knowledge in the foundational modules Digital Innovation Strategies, Strategic Corporate Management, Statistical Methods, and Academic Research and Ethics. These modules enable students to strategically manage digital transformation processes, make data-driven decisions, and critically reflect on scientific and ethical issues.
The compulsory modules provide key competencies for the digital economy and modern IT organisations. In the module Applied Artificial Intelligence, students explore current AI technologies and their practical application in business environments. Governance, Risk and Compliance offers a thorough understanding of regulatory requirements, risk management, and corporate responsibility within the IT context.
In addition, the modules IT Project Management and Software Engineering and Quality prepare students to efficiently manage complex IT projects and to develop and assure high-quality software solutions. These subjects are complemented by Information Security Management, which highlights the importance of IT security and protective measures in modern information systems.
Another central component of the programme is Strategic IT Management. Here, students learn how to align IT initiatives with overall business strategy and how to create sustainable digital value.
Students also have the opportunity to choose two elective modules from a diverse range of options. Examples include Agility in Creativity and Idea Management and Cloud Management. This allows students to tailor their academic profile according to their personal interests and professional goals.
Overall, the Business Informatics (M.Sc.) programme at NORDAKADEMIE offers a modern and practice-oriented education that prepares graduates for demanding positions and leadership roles in the digital economy.

Your Master's degree program is blended learning with classroom sessions and self-study phases. The NORDAKADEMIE provides you with all learning materials online and offline and also supervises you personally.
Four to six weeks before your first lecture, you will receive access to the first study materials. At the beginning of your studies, you will also receive your student ID card.
Consistent study groups enable you to have an intensive exchange and excellent cooperation. In the Master's project, you will also work together in interdisciplinary teams. All modules follow one another in time with subsequent examinations. This means that you only have to prepare for one exam at a time.
Our recommendation: When comparing the tuition fees of private universities, you should always look out for "hidden" costs, e.g. for enrollment, exams or study time extensions. If providers do not disclose these fees or only inform you about them after you have been entered in a list of prospective students, you will often be charged above-average fees.
The interdisciplinary Master's program Business Informatics/IT Management at NORDAKADEMIE enables you to identify problems, design tailor-made solutions and implement them. In doing so, it is just as important to have information technology know-how as it is to understand business processes.
Our aim is to provide you with education that will enable you to increase the company's earning power in the long term in a dynamic competitive environment - while at the same time taking social and ecological concerns into account.
This makes a Master's degree from NORDAKADEMIE a solid basis for you to pursue a career in any management position for which you need high-quality IT knowledge and business expertise.
