The International Office supports NORDAKADEMIE students in preparing for their semester abroad and, with the support of the Student International Office, provides information about study opportunities at foreign partner universities, among other things. In addition, the International Office is the first point of contact for our foreign guest students.

Questions about the semester abroad?

A semester abroad at an ERASMUS+ partner university of NORDAKADEMIE offers students additional advantages: Students are thereby exempt from tuition fees at the host university and can receive further funding from the EU. The application for an ERASMUS+ study place is open to all students at NORDAKADEMIE.

Erasmus+ is the EU programme for the promotion of education, training, youth and sport in Europe. It has a budget of approximately 26.2 billion euros. This is almost twice as much as for the predecessor programme (2014-2020). The 2021-2027 programme focuses on social inclusion, the green and digital transformation and promoting young people's participation in democratic life.

Erasmus+ mobility has a positive impact on educational, social, personal and professional development, as it improves knowledge, skills and attitudes, increases employability, contributes to confidence building and independence, stimulates curiosity and innovation, promotes understanding of others and creates a sense of belonging to Europe.

Please note that you will be redirected to our German website.

Students at NORDAKADEMIE have the opportunity to study one semester at one of the foreign partner universities or at a freely chosen foreign university.

The 5th semester is intended for studying abroad, as the subject-specific basics are available after the first four semesters of the Bachelor's degree program, intensive language training has already been provided, and in this semester the examination program is strongly equalized in favor of a possible stay abroad.

NORDAKADEMIE currently cooperates with around 38 universities worldwide.

If you choose another foreign university as your host university, you can apply - after consultation with the International Office - as a so-called "free mover". We are happy to support this step with our experience.

Possibilities to inform yourself about the application modalities before a semester abroad are:
  • Website of the partner university
  • International Office
  • Field reports

Further information on semesters abroad is also available to enrolled students in the Campus information system (International Office and CIS/Foreign Office).
