Students of the specialization "Business Psychology and Human Resource Management" acquire the competence to support companies in attracting, retaining and developing their human resources and to advise the management in motivating employees.

Within the company, you will act as a business partner at eye level with top management in personnel and target group management. With your analytical skills and your knowledge of methods, you support the management of your company in their decisions.

Specifically, you will acquire the following knowledge and skills:

  • Analyze target groups and take the right measures to address them optimally (e.g. in marketing).
  • Measure, evaluate and control performance and motivation of employees on different dimensions (e.g. social, methodical and self-regulatory competencies)
  • Scientific standards (e.g. APA, Harvard) to communicate empirical studies effectively and transparently
  • Placing competence management in the overall strategic context
  • Competence to recognize and classify individual differences and to develop measures for personal development
  • You receive a solid foundation from basic psychological research (e.g. Daniel Kahneman: dual system theory) 


Competencies as Business Partner: Ability to analyze, communication skills, business knowledge, behavioral knowledge, instrument expertise, steadiness.
